A late review

I went on this tour in March 2010. This tour was great! I enjoyed the majestic Madrid, Gaudi's Barcelona. But my favorite was the colorful Seville. The flamenco dance was the highlight.
The hotel in Seville and Barcelona were in great locations. The delicious Sangria, tapas and paella are unforgettable. Transportation by high speed trains was fast and comfortable.
I wish we had one more day for each city. Will have to go back with GoAhead Tours.

Seville Madrid Barcelona - Wonderful!

Our tour guide, Luis, was outstanding! Each of the hotels was centrally located so that we could explore on our own. The included meals - especially breakfasts - had everything you could possibly want. We enjoyed each of the cities, but my personal favorite was Seville. Our hotel overlooked the river with an incredible view each morning and evening. An optional tour to Toledo is not to be missed as was the Flamingo dinner and show. I would recommend each of them highly. We also enjoyed exploring Barcelona on our own - the architecture, the seafront, the shopping, and the beaches. I consider myself to be excellent shape, but the extensive walking could be tiring. There were only 19 people in our tour group; we were like one big happy family with Luis as our "parent"! This was our third trip to Europe, but our first with GoAhead Tours. It won't be our last!

A GREAT trip

This was a great trip. I really enjoyed the other people we got to meet and be with on this trip. Everything was wonderful. I would go again, if I could be with the same people including our guide.

Overall Good Trip

I enjoyed this quick tour of Spain very much. The highlight was Barcelona and the wonderful Gaudi architecture.
The one caveat that sticks out in my mind was the somewhat overpriced "Flamenco" night optional. The $109.00 price seemed way out of line for the buffet dinner and show. The performers were very talented and the show itself was enjoyable, but the entire evening I felt like one in a herd of tourists.

This was a great trip!

We had a great time in Spain! The 10 days were filled with lots of tours, information, and fun. Africa was a great guide, and was extremely passionate about her country and having us there as visitors. Her attitude helped to make the adventure successful. My favorite experience on this trip was the visit to Toledo; if you choose this itinerary, definitely purchase the Toledo excursion. It is a cozy town, filled with amazing shops and food. My least favorite experience during this trip were the flight schedules; one layover is my max, and having two (one of which was 5 hours long) was a bit exhausting. Overall, this was a great trip that I would recommend to anyone (especially active travelers...this is not a "relaxing" itinerary).

First Go Ahead Tour

First, let me say that dealing with Go Ahead was a pleasure throughout the entire experience.
Transitions: The flight Spain was great and upon arrival at the airport, the tour guide was waiting to take me and the others back to the hotel where she had arranged a "meet and greet" complete with Sangria. Our group took the bullet train to transfer to the larger cities. The ride was very enjoyable and all details were taken care of my our tour guide including getting luggage on and off of the trains. Our local city tours were done by charter bus and the drivers were excellent getting around in the cities and getting us to the most important spots.
The places: The cities visited on this tour were all wonderful. I would definitely recommend the optional excursion to Toledo - it was my favorite place overall. All of the local tour guides were very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. They were full of advice and recommendations for places to shop and eat.
The food: Meals provided by the hotels were excellent. The dinners with Go Ahead in the cities were also wonderful and always arranged in advance and representative of the local area specialities. The optional Traditional Spanish Evening was my favorite dinner excursion as we had a private room, serving staff, and entertainment. The Flameco dancing optional excursion was also excellent. Recommendations were made at each city for places to do dinner on our own, as well.
Our tour guide: Our tour guide was incredible. She had everything arranged in advance and was very organized. She was always available for help with dinner or shopping suggestions or for help with reading local city maps during our free time. Any issues brought to her attention were handled immediately and professionally, although there were very few for our group.
I would definitely recommend this tour to a friend and truly hope to make it back again some day.

Trip to Seville, Madrid Barcelona

Overall this was a great tour. The currency exchange was a high - true total cost of the tour was more than we expeceted. This is the third Go Ahead Tour that we have taken. Because of the tour guide it was the best.

Seville Madrid and Barcelona

The only thing I wouldhave changed was the tour for Madrid. I felt we needed more of a bus tour of the city. We only went to see art and palace. The tour director did have a walkingtour to show shoping and restaurants. I am 80 and not very good at keeping up with a group on walking tours and my husband is 85 and also found it difficult. Maybe we are just getting too old to take these tours but it was a really good tour and everyone enjoyed the tour and most everyone was helpful.

My first visit to Spain was in 1981, a very short stopover that left me wanting to return. The pace was good, would love to spend more time in all three cities. Our tour director was one of the best ever. The travel via train was fantastic, would like to see more trips using the high-speed rails.
Would like to see a city stay in Barcelona

The GoAhead tour to Seville - Madrid - Barcelona was just amazing. Accomodations were very nice. Our Tour Director, Leonor, was so knowledgeable and personable. Journeying on the bullet train was an great experience. All three cities are not to be forgotten. And our option to Montserrat was worth every penny. Our tour group was small, and everyone was very friendly.

1) The tour guide was outstanding; very informative, helpful, and had a genuine concern for the guests on the tour.
2) The tour was well organized.

Spain trip

Everything, especially the leader was outstanding. However, I think GoAhead should have anticipated the national Spanish holidays and not left it to the tour leader to scramble to adjust our schedule. That having been said, she did an excellent job in rearranging the schedule.
I also think GoAhead should permit more flexibility in scheduling flights to accommodate needs of the passenger and the amount of lay-over time.

First timers to Europe.

We had the best time in Spain. If it wasn't for our tour director Africa, I don't think our first trip to Europe would have been so memorable.

Great Intro to Spain

For my first time in Spain, this trip was awesome! There was so much to see. The tour guides did a fantastic job of covering a lot of history and territory during our visit. Since I did the optional tours to Toledo and Montserrat, I was kept busy. However, it was well worth it! The tour also provided enough time for you to explore the city on your own. For anyone who is fascinated with history and architecture, this trip is for you!
