We wanted to cover as many national parks in one tour, in reasonable time and at reasonable cost. This tour exceeded our expectations! And, our tour leader Stevyn Polk was outstanding - personable and well prepared. Bus driver "Lucky" was excellent as well and went out of his way to be accommodating to our travel needs.
We tried to talk Stevyn into developing a west coast version of this trip - starting with the Olympic Peninsula, including Crater Lake and Yosemite, and ending in San Francisco.

Very well organized and a fantastic tour director that anticipated every iota of the trip. Nancy, our tour director, had tremendous knowledge of every area we went to on things to see, places to eat, shop, potential traffic bottlenecks, took photos for us, etc.
I've been on several tours in the past all over the world, but our tour director was by far the best on the bunch.
The motor coach was comfortable, the driver attentive to his job and helpful in every instance.
Hard to believe that such beautiful country that is so varied is all within a reasonable distance. It was breathtaking made even better by our wonderful tour guide, Nancy. She couldn't have done one thing better. You are lucky to have her. We appreciated the smaller number in our tour making for a close group who enjoyed each others' company while all enjoying the magnificent South western national parks.

The trip was made most interesting and informative by the knowledge and personality of our tour guide-Julie. The parks visited need no embelishment, they stand on their own. The logistics of the trip ie. bus, hotels, restaurants, along with the ammenities like delivering our luggage to our rooms ,make the trip into a great one.

This is my 3rd tour with Go Ahead and it is my best! This tour was a delight and did not disappoint. Each day we had a new adventure and a new stop that was always amazing us. We have our own history that dates back millions of years that many of us had been missing out on. It also didn't hurt that we had a fantastic guide, Phil, to lead our group into the unknown! He was very knowledgeable and had something new to teach us everyday.
Each canyon, mountain or lake seemed to compete with the beauty of the previous one. It is extremely difficult to pick a favorite place since each one was unique and breath taking in it's own way. I am already planning my next adventure.

One indicator of the quality of this tour is that the Grand Canyon is the national park that I would be least likely to revisit. The Grand Canyon is a great experience, but the other five parks are even better. Other aspects of the tour were good as well. Jo Ann, the guide, was knowledgeable, helpful and organized. Lucky, the driver, was safe and courteous. The switchbacks at Zion aren’t easy to navigate. The group itself was friendly and punctual.
The following are some suggestions for future tour members:
SANTA FE – Find out how to order chili peppers before going to a restaurant.
MESA VERDE – Dress in layers; the weather can quickly change. This is good advice for most of the tour. Unless you have serious health problems, the walk to Spruce Tree House is easy. The hotel didn’t have a TV, so have a CD player or something to read.
GRAND CANYON – Consider the helicopter option. Check out the Grand Canyon Imax movie near the hotel. Have water handy (good advice for all the sites).
ZION – This was my favorite. Everyone I asked felt the same way. Try to spend as much time here as possible. Take a walk through Springdale.
BRYCE CANYON – Try to take at least part of the rim walk. If you do, get a hiking map. Some folks had a slight delay finding the lodge.
SALT LAKE CITY – Visit the Mormon buildings downtown.
GRAND TETONS – Sign up for the hot air balloon and Snake River float options. They’re a lot of fun. Jackson has a rodeo on Saturday nights. This was my second favorite park.
YELLOWSTONE – Have your camera handy. There are many chances to photograph animals. Try to get a picnic lunch; the restaurant lines are long and the outdoor ambience is excellent.
Hope this review helps. I think it’s a great tour.

1) We were delayed in Albuquerque due to late flights of those joining the tour. Nancy, our great tour director, did bus us to Old Town Albuquerque for the wait. It was a four hour wait, very hot, for which we were unprepared.
2) The lodging at Far View, Mesa Verde, was disappointing. The rooms had no air conditioning and it was hot. The windows had no screens or warped screens and there was no screen on the door to the deck. Not only was it uncomfortable from the heat but also from the fear of wild life or slithering creatures being able to get in.

Go Ahead did all the hard work for me - all we did was show up and enjoy! This trip was the ideal method of touring the national parks, and they were all fabulous. Our tour director Nancy shared treasures and surprises with us every day. She was by far the best tour director I've ever had - she went above and beyond what was expected. She and our driver Chris worked from early to late each day to deliver a great product. I'm impressed!

Our group just returned from the National Parks Tour and we absolutely LOVED the experience. We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful country!!! We found each park to be unique and magnificent! I was thrilled to have seen each and every one!!
Our tour director, Nancy, was EXCELLENT!!! I've been on five tours with GoAhead and Nancy was by far the best tour director I've encountered. She made sure we were able to take special walks (she walked with us and took our pictures) and tours (she carried our water bottles at Cliff Palace!). Nancy went far and beyond her "duties" and she played a huge roll in making the trip an incredible experience for everyone!! Our driver, Chris, was a very good driver and did a super job for us. He always had a smile on his face and was happy to do whatever was needed!
We truly had a wonderful trip!!! Thank you Nancy, Chris, and GoAhead!!!

It was wonderful to just sit back and relax and watch the scenery from the windows as we went from state to state, site to site. This was suce a relaxing trip knowing that everything was in place from the moment you arrived until you got back home. Wonderful experience of a lifetime.

It is important for all Americans to see and enjoy the beauty of our own country. There are so many awesome sights and exciting experiences available, as well as the opportunity to study the history and culture of people in different areas of America. We were fortunate to be able to visit several national parks and cities in the southwest. From ancient puebloans to modern day Mormons we were introduced to so many facets of our history.

I couldn't believe all the beauty we saw. The bus was very comfortable and our driver was great. Our tour guide was excellent. Very thorough, organized and knowledgeable. The pace was just right for me. We saw a lot. We hope to go back to take in again the things we saw and to see more.
Unexpected delightful tour with 43 participants. The Tour Director was Outstanding in that he was extensively knowledgable of the route, the sites visited and went out of his way to make the trip every confortable and enjoyable. Fun was had by all. Several couples indicated that they had taken several previous trips with"Go Ahead Tours", and they never had any disappointments- they were all great adventures and experiences. All were professionably done. We as a result of this experience, are already planning for next year.
