Alaska Glacier Cruise

We enjoyed the cruise very much. The ship was beautiful and the entertainment was very enjoyable. The food was excellent, the casino had no smoking so we were able to enjoy gambling without getting sick. This was our 14th trip with Go Ahead. We particularly enjoy travelling with Go Ahead because they allow time for us to explore on our own and do not schedule every hour of every day. We will be travelling again with Go Ahead next February.

Glaciers and salmon and mountains, oh my!

Majesty and grandeur among all the comforts of home is a bargain by any reckoning. Once on board the Rhapsody of the Seas, we were treated to scenery stunning in its beauty and overpowering in its impact. Though I braved the early morning (and was rewarded by beautiful sunrise) my wife was able to absorb some of the same rapture through the window of our stateroom. Having had my fill of the view (impossible though that is) breakfast in the Windjammer allowed us to eat and see at the same time. Unhappily, piracy is a crime or I would have takne over the ship and forced the captain to cruis the Alaskan waters forever.

We took our first GoAhead tour this year: Alaska Glacier Cruise! IT WAS FANTASTIC!!!!! We appreciated the time in Seattle prior to, and at the end of our trip. Our favorite aspect of the trip (other than the cruise itself) was how GoAhead took care of EVERYTHING!!!! (Pick-up, taxi service, dinners, tour guides, etc.) Can't wait for our next GoAhead trip!!!!

Glacier Cruise

We had a fantastic experience! It was the first time we had been on a cruise and the first time we had been to Alaska. Both experiences were fantastic! We were able to relax and enjoy all of the activities on the ship, and also be as active as we desired on the various ports of call. The cooler temperatures were a welcomed benefit from the heat and humidity we left in the southeast.
We were pampered in every way. The only downside to this royal treatment is that the recommended tips really add up over the course of the trip. It didn't dampen our enjoyment of the trip, only our budget!!

Great Trip

However, some of our information was confusing and we were not provided maps for each port. The cruise was the best; it was a vacation and not a trip. I was totally relaxed when I returned home and now looking for my next cruise experience!

Alaska Glacier Cruise

We had a wonderful time on our Alaska Glacier Cruise trip.
Our experience on Rhapsody of the Seas was excellent. Everyone on the staff was polite, helpful, and friendly. Needless to say, the food was also out of this world, but we had to walk a lot, even on the deck when at sea, to overcome the temptations we succumbed to! Also the range of off-trip excursions offered was very good. Our trip into the Yukon with visit to the Iditarod Dog Camp, and coming back on the White Pass and Yukon Railraod was something we will always remember.
Our group was such a pleasure. We would travel with these people again any time!.
Last, but definitely not least, was our guide Jo Ann Slate. We have been doing group travel for almost 30 years and she definitely stands out as being one of the very best. She was extremely helpful in being sure that everyone got to see what they wanted to see and knew where to go and what was available not only on the ship, but also on shore. Her unflappable patience, her wit and humor, her management skills, and her ability to converse about many different subjects of interest make her someone we would like to travel with again.

Beautiful Alaska

We enjoyed the Alaska's Glacier Cruise from the convenience of the cruise ship. There was no packing and unpacking since we were in the cruise ship all of the way. The schedule was very easy and you can control the optional excursions so your days are as full or as relaxing as you want them to be. The scenery in Alaska was breath-taking and awe-inspiring. The power and size of the glaciers was unbelievable. Seattle was a pleasant addition to the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Seattle before and after the cruise.
